I flew to Irakleon, Crete, and was absolutely fascinated by the Palace of Knossos. On the right is part of the reconstruction.

I took this photograph at the castle, so pleased with myself about the arty angle - but looking on the internet I see that more than one person had the same idea!



Lindos is a small picturesque town on the island of Rhodes, with a long and varied history.

Looking down on the pretty harbour, where St Paul is said to have sheltered in AD 51.

Lindos town, crowned with its acropolis, reached by a steep path paved with pebbles in intricate mosaic patterns.
